Ron was asked to create an iconic entry to a historic COOP building in New York City’s Hudson Heights Neighborhood. The new entry was designed with a reflection of history in a present interpretation. We chose to create door art that reflected in graphic detail and because it is the main entry to the building engages the occupants interact with the art by walking from the modern history. The lobby of the building has wonderful 19th century arts and crafts detailing and looks much as it did when the building was built.

The art was printed on low iron glass and heated to a point where the ink becomes imbedded in the glass panel. The panel was then tempered and lamented to another piece of low iron glass.
